Downfall to Offline Gmail in the browser

I like being able to have Offline Gmail in my browser, it simplifies my routine, I don’t have to have a sperate window or application for all my emails. One thing is that as I type this, Firefox 3.0.8’s memory usage with 5 tabs, one being Gmail, one being my homepage on Facebook, another being a Facebook app, one being Twitter, and then the new post page on Tumblr, is about 186,500K according to Windows Task Manager. This is insane, but thankfully there’s some changes in Firefox 3.5 that decrease memory usage and increase JavaScript performance (nanojit increases performance.) So I’m thinking about taking that leap and going back to doing the 1.9.1 tree nightlies so I get a more efficient browser.
