What is the most well known robot?

What is the first robot that comes into your mind when you think of robots? C3PO? R2D2? KITT? KARR? ASIMO? Aibo? QRIO? There’s tons of robots, some real, but most fiction.

At this point, I can’t really answer because I’m writing this post. If you look at this pastie post of source code from the Default C++ source written by WPI, you’ll find that there’s some code to light up solenoids and move the light like KITT. The souce even references to the KITT Wikipedia page.
